Hi Everyone! I hope everyone had a fun and safe New Years! Mine was very casual but still a lot of fun. I know a lot of people don’t believe in resolutions, but I think they’re helpful. For me, I feel like if I don’t have some direction, I feel aimless and lost. 2019 was not the best year for me but 2018 was and I think it partially due to the fact that I had my resolutions written down, and they became reality! The best thing in 2019 however, was the fact I created my blog!
My resolutions for 2020 are nothing ground breaking, but definitely things that I want to work more on this year/excel at.
- Manage my money better! Though this shouldn’t seem hard, I feel like it’s always a little difficult because I just don’t think twice before I swipe my card. So I want to save some money and spend what I have wisely!
- Finish Grad School – If no one remembers, I am currently in Grad School for a double masters. I really want to finish this year so I don’t have to worry about this stuff for another year and get a job I actually like!
- Find a better job – if you’re close to me, you may know I am not a fan of the position I’m in at work currently. This year I am determined to find not only a better job (I.e. I learn more, better work environment, benefits etc.) but also one I’m passionate about. I’m sure the mortgage industry is not a passion for many.
- Health & Fitness – I like to think I’m not too bad at going to the gym but for me the issue is what I eat. I’m pretty good some days but I usually give into my temptations. I definitely will be meal prepping from Sun-Tues as I have 2 night classes back to back: which seems like an attainable goal to me!
- Be a better blogger! – I honestly lost my spark half way through the year, and I’m really sorry about that! I really want to be not only someone who can give you outfit ideas, but also just give something of value to you guys. I also want to be able to do more collabs and such, so here’s to trying to be a better blogger!
One key thing I think is important this year to really focus on mental health and your stability. A lot of people don’t tell you what they’re going through, so be understanding of everyone’s boundaries and just let them know you’re there for them!
I have a few others like drink more water, clean more, etc and a few more personal ones, but I really feel like 2020 will be the year to make them happen!
My Outfit is linked below, the sweater is from zara! My BlankNyc Suede skirt runs a bit big (to me); I got a size 28 and I think the 27 would have been better. My tights are from CVS, and it was so nice this day I really didn’t need them, but oh well. My Stuart Weitzman lowlands are my forever faves and looked perfect with this outfit! Please let me know if you have any questions about the outfit either here or on insta!
