OMG is this post over due or what?! If you don’t follow me on the gram (@thepinkpatola) then you missed on my fun filled Bachelorette trip to Jaco, Costa Rica! We went for 4 days and rented a private villa in Punta Leoñe. My biggest concern when going was what do I wear and what have others suggested. I knew it was going to be hot and sunny, but nothing else. To my dismay, I only saw more practical outfits than fashionable. So sit back and relax for my Costa Rica Style Guide!
Horseback Riding:
We went horseback riding on the beach with the The Riding Adventure in Jaco early Friday morning! Everyone was so kind and our horses matched our personalities sooo well, it was scary. I ended up wearing shorts from AnF and a linen blouse from Zara, but I would recommend pants for 2 reasons. Reason 1: I got the most ugly shorts tan. Like so bad and it still hasn’t evened out! Reason 2: My thighs were glued to the saddle. My horse wanted to go faster at the end so we’d be done (aka me) but my thighs wouldn’t move from the saddle. If I were to redo this, I’d wear a linen jumpsuit or maxi for something more flow. Otherwise I’d wear these cute linen wide leg pants with a tube top or crop top. A hat is also what makes this look!
Ziplining:
I think depending on the type of zip lining you’re doing, you can honestly look cute. A lot of the Costa Rica Style Guide s I found made it seem like you were going on a workout when going to any excursion. I wore workout clothes cause mostly everyone did, but some cute shorts and a blouse would look adorable! Our zip lining was at Los Sueños and wasn’t that scary/bad at all. My workout look was a tye-dye muscle tank, black leggings, black sneakers. Honestly, it was so much fun and I’d love to do it all over again! Please ignore how much of a circle my face looks like too, thanks lol.
Beach/Pool Looks:
As this was a bachelorette, some of our outfits were coordinated. Out of the 3 days we had there, only 1 had a coordinated swim look. For the first day I wore this red Zaful bikini I got on Amazon Prime (score). I wore my same linen blouse from Zara as a coverup.
The other pool look I had was this amazingly cute – and flattering – 1 shoulder one piece from Abercrombie! It got so many compliments and I got such great pics lol! BTW, my red thing on my ankle is a mosquito repellent band. I would highly recommend getting it! Unfortunately the swimsuit isn’t available anymore 🙁
Evening Looks:
We had a green dress theme night as well which was a little difficult to pack for honestly. The dress I originally order from Reformation was soooo short, I couldn’t justify spending $240 for a 1 time wear. So we went to Amazon lol. I got this cute scuba print dress on prime for less than $30 I think! I was gonna belt it with a white belt, but ran out of time to get one. But I feel like I can wear this more than the Reformation one so that’s a plus!
Lastly, I wore this look for the first night which was our night to mingle with all the girls! We had a total of 16 girls there!! 4 were from Cali – if you’re reading this guys, I miss you!! The other 2 were from Michigan and I can’t wait to see you guys either! My outfit is my old mango top and pink linen shorts are from Abercrombie. The heels honestly lasted me 3 minutes for the pics there, but I retook them here at home. My hair also went up into a bun which I’m including here cause, why not?!
