Hi Everyone! It’s been a busy few weeks/months for me if you haven’t been able to tell. I finally graduated from school and I feel so relieved! It’s a been a crazy and challenging 3 years but it’s the end of an era. In case you didn’t know or are new here, I started this blog/insta when I first started school in 2018. I realized I had no excuses left so I just went for it. Crazy to think we’re here 3 years later, almost 4!
In addition to graduating, I went to Myrtle Beach SC for my cousins wedding. Me attending was a definitely a last minute choice but it ended up being pretty fun! We stayed at the Marriott Sand Dunes Hotel and it was so beautiful there. The pool and beach were amazing and it felt nice to travel somewhere other than the usual few spots. We attended a total of 4 events while there. The first was the Sangeet on Friday evening: I wore my gharara from Kulwinder Nagra. I think it’s perfect for any sangeet or more party-like function.
We attended 2 weddings on Saturday during the day. They did the Sikh wedding in the morning and the Hindu ceremony right after. I wore this super cute lavendar gharara to both and I think with my hair and jewelry (shoutout to Preet) it looked so good. The Hindu ceremony was outside so I thought the spaghetti straps would be perfect for the beach! For the reception I wore my mom’s old sari from CTC Delhi. We got the blouse refitted and my jewelry is from Kirni. All in all, it ended up working out!
I also went to Puerto Rico this past weekend. It was so much fun and I am very tan so I can’t complain! I’ll post the pictures soon but be warned, I didn’t take many of my outfits. I think that’s how you know you had a good vacation! We went to Culebra, La Placita (where I spent $100 to be a DJ), and a few other places. I stayed at my friend’s in Santa Cruce and I think the Air BnB route is a good one to take. I wouldn’t say I have a great travel recap right now but I also don’t think it’ll get better than this 🙂
Another random update, I plan on starting a meal prep service in June. I’ve been trying to eat healthily but I’m just so over trying and failing so hoping this works out. I can cook but my ability to cook real healthy meals is pretty low; my cooking is just home-cooking. Plus as we all know, eating healthy is a lifestyle change so let’s see what actually happens!
