I think it’s safe to say that my go-to outfit in life is a t-shirt and jeans. Sometimes I may switch it up with an oversized band tee or a long sleeve tee, but the t-shirt aspect remains. I decided to round-up some of my favorite t-shirts so that you guys can find one you love if you haven’t already!
As of late, I love crewneck t-shirts. I cannot do v-neck although I do have a few. I like the crewneck look just because it feels more chic, especially with a few gold necklaces hanging around. My favorite basic colored ones are from Madewell! The white one is a great quality as it isn’t sheer and you can wear any bra under it. The black one I got is recently purchased and maybe a size smaller than my white one, which is why I feel like it’s just a tad more body-hugging. The white one I have is a size small which is just the perfect fit!
I think it’s important to have a few t-shirts that are out of the basic color spectrum: Enter my camo, stripes, and animal print. I love a good striped tee and am sooo upset that Abercrombie hasn’t made a good one this year. My favorite one from them is 3 years old and getting to be worn down. I picked up this striped tee from Madewell and it’s perfect to wear with both black and blue jeans.
My camo tee is perfect with both jeans and shorts and can be dressed up or down! I love wearing camo and I think with all black and a hint of grey it looks very chic. The same thing applies for my cheetah print shirt! The basic-ness of wearing just a t-shirt and jeans can be so much more. My camo tee is a little more boxy, but I don’t mind at all.
A t-shirt can be dressed up or down; I wore a t-shirt with my dress pants to work and it was soo comfy and looked good! I think that’s why I love this go-to outfit of mine. A nice bag and some earrings can help elevate the look – side note: elevate reminds me of master chef and it’s made me hate the word. But honestly, investing in a good quality t-shirt will help you out for years! If you’d like to see how to incorporate a t-shirt into your work wear, let me know and I will make a follow-up to this post!
