Hi Everyone! Sephora’s Sale Event for Spring starts on April 17th (for VIB members) so I thought I’d share some of my faves and what else I’m getting! I made a post last year as well, but there are a lot of new things I’ve been itching to try! As always, Rouge gets early access to the sale and typically get 20% off their entire purchase. This year Rouge’s early access starts on April 17th and goes until May 1st! VIB is the second tier and they typically get 15% off; last is Insider and they typically get 10% off their entire purchase. I’m going to list my shade range at the end for anyone who would like to know!
Skincare:
- Ole Henriksen Exfoliator – that I’ve been using forever! I typically exfoliate every other day, which I find works well for me. I also think it’s gentle but my skin is pretty oily and not too sensitive to the texture of products.
- Farmacy AHA resurfacing – this serum is something I want to try in place of my exfoliator. I’ve heard such good things about it and also hydrates at the same time. I think the Sephora Sale is the best time to try new things; Let me know your thoughts if you’ve already tried this!
- Peter Thomas Roth Moisturizer – I like to use this in the fall and winter or whenever my skin needs more hydration. this moisturizer feels so good and doesn’t feel greasy at all. I like their serum too which I found was also great! His whole water drench line is amazing.
- Murad Moisturizer – I’ve been using this for a month now and I love it! It’s light weight, doesn’t feel greasy, hydrates well. I use it morning and night and I really can’t get enough. Once I run out of this I think I’ll be trying the Drunk Elephant one.
- Murad Spot treatment – I use this for any blemishes that may come up and it works well surprisingly. I do think that if I have any extra and put it on, it makes me break out more there but also my skin is stupid so… I really want to try some of their stuff so this may be the time!
- Kiehl’s Concentrates – I use both the morning and night ones and to be honest, I’m still not sure what they do. But I love how it makes my skin feel! I know there’s some backlash on this product because of all the ingredients, but I have no issues with it.
- Drunk Elephant Eye cream – I’ve used this for over a year and it really keeps my under eyes hydrated. When I got lash extensions, my eye are was so dry so this helped bring back the moisture I lost. I’ve used a few others but I always come back to this one! Some of the things I want to try from them are: the Marula Face Oil, Baby Facial, and either the C-Firma or B-Hydration serums!
Face Makeup:
- Born This Way Foundation – I came across this kit which is so great (I think). You get not only the foundation, but setting powder from Fenty – which I’ve been wanting to try – and a Becca Highlighter! I love this foundation, it’s great for a night out as it’s medium to full coverage and doesn’t move once set. The shade range is also great and typically if I get darker in the summer, it’s easy to get a shade or 2 or darker to mix. I use the shade sand.
- NARs Radiant Creamy Concealer – I feel like this was a youtuber favorite a few years ago until ShapeTape came out. I like wearing this on my forehead and chin because it’s lightweight and easy to blend. I also feel like the consistency is a little bit thinner than Tarte’s so its easier to blend if you don’t like thicker concealers. I use the shade Gingerly.
- Porefessional Primer – I’ve been using this primer for so long, and I think it does a really good job of covering my pores. I also like the mattifying version, and you can use them together! For special events I like to take any mattifying primer and then layer this on top so my skin is still matte and poreless!
- Huda Beauty Easy Bake – This powder is what I use to bake my concealer. I first set my makeup with Mac’s Studio Fix Powder foundation, but I really want to try out the Charlotte Tillbury one! I’ve heard good things about it; but before buying a whole thing of it, I think I’ll wait out quarantine. Anyways, this powder is great and I typically bake for about 3 mins, or however long it takes to do my eyebrows. I use the shade banana.
- U.D. Setting Spray – So I haven’t used this in years but I’m going to repurchase because as much as I love Mac’s Fix+, it doesn’t really keep my grease free.
Eye Products:
- Anastasia Brow Gel – I got this in my allure beauty box and I’ve been obsessed ever since! I feel like it actually holds my brows in place and since it’s clear, you can’t see where you may have gone over your eyebrows.
- Anastasia Brow Products – I use 3 different shades to do my brows… Overkill I know, but I feel like my brows blend much better. Even my guy cousins know this! I love the brow wiz for shaping out my brows and then using the definer to go in and fill it in. I feel like I can’t get a good shape with the definer so I stick to using the two products. I used dipbrow in the past but I really don’t think it’s all that. Shades: taupe, soft brown, dark brown
- Smashbox Palette – I used to have a much a smaller one that I can’t find online anymore. Their colors are great I think – they blend well, and there is this one shade that I think is the perfect matte, neutral highlight!
- Tarte Mascara – Another product I got in my Allure box, and it makes my lashes look soooo long! I don’t have extensions on currently (post quarantine moves) but this mascara does the things I like: super black, long lashes, doesn’t clump, stays on and doesn’t transfer to skin.
- Urban Decay Basics Palette – The palette I use isn’t on the website anymore; I think that means I should get rid of it… But this is basically a smaller version of it! It has a few needed shades and makes my eye shadow look quick and easy! The heat one also has my eye on it..
Lip Products:
- Huda Beauty Lipstick – This is my go to color. Like I wear this everyday and I can’t get enough of it! It’s not drying, has a lot of color payoff, and stays on pretty well for the most part. My shade is interview.
- Smashbox Lip Paint – I saw this on Blue Rose Artistry’s insta stories once and loved the combo! She paired it with the Fenty Lip Gloss and it looks great on those who are bit less tan than me. I typically wear this on a night out or for a wedding. Shade: Stepping Out
I think that’s all I can write for now lol! For hair things, you can check out my hair post I did last month, but there’s nothing I really buy from Sephora to maintain my hair. I also want to say that even though there is a sale, don’t feel like you need to buy everything and anything just because a) it’s on sale or b) someone is recommending it. I personally plan to buy just the things I know are running out and I will need to replace soon.
