My last feature in this Spring Suit Trends series is this hot pink number. I think in general, bright and loud colors are what most Punjabans wear. This hot pink suit is something that I think most of us would reach for in our closets.
First, the color. I mean can we just take a second. Now that we have that established, let’s discuss this suit. It’s on pure georgette with a mukesh salwar: mukesh is when the fabric has metallic threadwork integrated into it. The more common style includes small metallic dots within the fabric. I have a lucknowi dupatta with mukesh work which I will be sure to feature soon 🙂
The most stunning detail on the suit might end up being this embroidery on the khera. I believe the embrodiery is dabka work but I might be wrong! It’s heavy on the khera, but the neckline also has work on it. This means you can wear a necklace, but I went without one.
Again, I wanted to give you guys 2 different options for footwear with this suit. I know some people prefer flats over heels, I am not one of those people! My jutti is – as always – from Kirni Designs; ask for the sippi jutti! It can come with ghungroos like my jutti’s from last week’s post too! My heels are so old (2014!) from Zara. I was going to grab the Nudistsong heel from Stuart Weitzman but TJ Maxx let me down big time. Definitely will be purchasing these before the month is over! There are also a lot of similar heels from Steve Madden, Sam Edelman, and Vince Camuto to name a few!
I kept jewelry with this light, however, depending the on the occasion you can add more. I choose these kundan earrings from Kirni; I have the matching choker and tikka as well. If I was to wear this to a wedding, I would add the choker and some saharay to the earrings to give a more formal look.
