Honestly, I have no clue why I feel the hype of Valentine’s Day. I think for me it’s just all about the outfits I would have worn to date night loll. Usually, I’m stuck at work all day on V-day anyways, so this outfit made me feel pretty and in the spirit!
So fun fact, this RP top is from her first collection at Nordstrom. I am just now wearing it and I’m not sure why it took me so long! My initial order was this and her black lace skirt, which my dad threw away. Idk what drove him to do that but I’m still depressed over that. There is a white, red, and black version of this top available currently! The red would also be so perfect right now!
My black work pants are my wardrobe staples. This particular fabric, I’ve realized, is only available during Ann Taylor’s fall collections. So I will definitely keep everyone updated when it’s back in stock! I deff need a new pair this year. Banana has equatable pants, but something about how my butt looks in these Ann Taylor ones keeps me coming back! 😛
My Valentino’s stayed on all day and literally were so comfy! I honestly forgot how much I loved them; my first official, full price, designer purchase. I wore them last year as well for a v-day look and in some suit pictures. I definitely recommend going up half a size more; mine are a 10 (all my designer heels I’m a whole size up) but I think a 10.5 would have been perf.
If you were to get the red version of this bell sleeve sweater by Rachel Parcell, I’d probably do my Loubs instead. I’d also switch my bag to be a more neutral colored one to match my shoes somewhat. I can’t lie, I love the pop of red that comes with Valentine’s Day!
Hope this provides some inspo!
